Elizabeth Snider
Currently working as a Freelance Illustrator, costume designer, and seamstress. Elizabeth has been sewing since she was 11 inspired by the local renaissance faire that she later worked for. Though already deeply invested in drawing and painting she began building her sewing skills by teaching herself from books borrowed from the library and by just trying different things.
Once college came around sewing for a living didn't even cross her mind but was convinced by a few professors to change her focus because of her love of theatre, art history, and impressive sewing skills. Upon attending the University of Oklahoma she was taught better and more refined sewing techniques as well as more accurate ways to draft patterns than just guesstimate. There she also began to fall more in love with historical clothing and doing extensive research into different eras of fashion and how they all tie together.
Early into her career she continues to build upon her skills with both professional work as well as personal projects and continued research into eras that most interest her.
